Surf Shack Burgers & Wings

Food and drinks were all delicious! Onion rings are amazing! Burger was too big to finish. The ONLY issue anyone had with any of the food was our son with the “chicken tenders”; and that’s only because they were hand made, not from a box. Huge pieces of chicken, lightly breaded and fried perfectly.

Got the breakfast burger with a poutine. Amazing! I had been craving a poutine for a few days. The burger was massive. The shack sauce is awesome.Fair prices and the service was amazing. My new fav burger place when I come to Tamarindo!

We went to Surf shack for burgers from the beach. The vibe is really cool, with a million surf boards for decor. The service was also good. The burgers were great, they went stacked up so it’s not the easiest to eat. The best burgers are the sloppy ones anyway. The prices are very reasonable as well. Can definitely recommend!

We’ve had a lot of good in Costa Rica but for me this one was the very best. All of the other meals have kinda blended together in my memory but this one stands out!Seated facing the ocean with amazing prices, sweet caring service and awesome food…don’t miss this gem!!

Best burgers in Tamarindo, wings are also amazing for just 1 each (large) on wednesdays. Overall amazing food and good price. Lovely view as well!

Staff was excellent. We were seated right away. Atmosphere was definitely surf shack vibe, but very very clean. Don’t pass this place up just because of the “location” because the food is very good!

Amazing burger place! Such a fun area too, right by the beach down a little path from town. The decorations and vibe were so beachy and the prices were very reasonable for what you got—the burgers were HUGE. Could easily feed two people.

Great food, great location and great people! I visited Tamarindo in May 2024 and the Surf Shack quickly became my favorite place to eat and have a beer. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent.The staff was extremely friendly and personable which made the experience that much more enjoyable. I had an opportunity to meet the owners one morning and they were so nice to me. Everyone there is so friendly!I tried the bacon cheeseburger, the cheese steak, a salad with chicken and wings across multiple visits during the 2 weeks I was there. And definitely some of the best price vs. quantity I found. I was always having to take the extras to go. Cheaper beer prices compared to the neighboring restaurants. It was consistently great each and every time.I definitely recommend getting lunch there and then taking a walk on the beach. Writing this review has me ready for a return visit for a burger and an Imperial!
